Helen Reddington (aka Helen McCookerybook – Chefs/Helen & The Horns) talks about her new book:
‘The Lost Women of Rock – Female Musicians of the Punk Era’ (£16.99)
The book explores the sudden influx of women in rock music enabled by the emergence of punk and the Sex Discrimination Act, right through to the demise of the scene, and the reasons why the end of punk saw the end of these once prominent females rock musicians.
