Celebrity Chef, Mary Berry talks about and signs her new book, Absolute Favourites

Thursday 02 April 2015
7:15 pm

“What a joy to do a book on my Absolute Favourites, all new recipes with a modern twist, something I have been longing to do and have included new ingredients and up to date techniques”
  Mary Berry

Mary Berry’s Absolute Favourites will accompany Mary’s new six-part BBC Two series of the same name. This new collection of 100 brand-new recipes is Mary’s most delightful and personal collection yet. Featuring all the foolproof recipes from the TV show, each recipe is accompanied by clear instructions, stunning photographs and Mary’s indispensable tips for perfect results.

Mary Berry has been teaching the nation to cook for over four decades. She is one of our favourite bakers and the much-loved judge on the BBC’s The Great British Bake Off and is the author of over 70 books including Mary Berry’s Baking Bible, Mary Berry at Home and Mary Berry Cooks.

The event will be In Conversation with novelist, Sarah Harrison. She is the author of the Flower Trilogy, which includes The Flowers of the Field, A Flower that's Free and The Wildflower Path. Her novels range from, among others, the epic (An Imperfect Lady, The Grass Memorial, The Dreaming Stones) to the full-on comic (Hot Breath, Cold Feet, Foreign Parts) taking in frothy fun (The Red Dress, Matters Arising) and the downright unclassifiable (Swan Music, The Nightingale’s Nest, A Spell of Swallows, Secrets of Our Hearts) along the way.

Tickets are £25 and include a copy of the hardback book. The Broadway Cinema is located in Letchworth (SG6 3DD).  Tickets are available at David's Bookshop, 01462 684631 or at the Broadway Cinema, http://broadway-cinema.com/Browsing/Movies/Details/h-HO00000238
