Poet in Residence, John Gohorry Signs his Books

John Gohorry’s poetry, short fiction and articles are broadcast and published in a wide range of sources including The Times Literary Supplement, The Spectator, London Magazine, Critical Survey, Poetry Review, Poetry Durham, Encounter, The Antigonish Review. He is the winner of many prestigious prizes for his poetry, including: 2008 1st Prize in the Keats/Shelley Memorial Association Poetry Competition; 2007 Prize for the Times Literary Supplement Poetry Competition; 2002 1st prize in the Library of Avalon Poetry Competition; and many others. 

Born in Coventry, England, he received his BA in English from University College London and M.Phil from University of London. He was a Lecturer in Further and Higher Education in North Hertfordshire for nearly 30 years.

John Gohorry is the author of numerous poetry collections:

Glyn Pursglove writes in Acumen January 2011 that Samuel Johnson's Amber is 'an occasion for celebration.....A substantial addition to the canon of contemporary long poems, I cannot recommend it too highly.'


He will be reading and signing in the bookshop.
