This is the Contemporary Fiction edition published in 1964 following the 1963 William Heinemann Ltd. Edition. This is a First Edition of this (1964) publication. Attractive dust-wrapper designed by Dodie Masterman showing very little wear, no tears, a little bit of wear to the spine head and very light marking to the cream back. Book bound in green cloth with silver title on the spine, clean and bright, just a hint of a forward roll to the spine. Contents unmarked, appearing unused, so as new. Top closed page edge dyed mauve. A small section/gathering of pages appear to protrude a little along the side, but there is no looseness, it is a production issue. Inserted there is a folded leaflet "contemporary Fiction Newslettter: 24 dated July 1964. This is a beautifully preserved book. Seller Inventory #037154
