Below are some of our frequently asked questions.

Q: Are dogs allowed in?

A: Yes! They are encouraged. 

Q: Do you do discount on Children's books?

A: Yes, every Saturday, between 9am - 1pm, there is 20% off of Children's books. This only applies if you have a child with you/are pregnant, to encourage little readers to come and browse/choose books for themselves! 

Q: Can National Book Tokens be spent on secondhand? 

A: Yes, National Book Tokens can be used to purchase secondhand, new or bargain books. They cannot be used to pay for games, gifts or cards. Also, not able to be used in conjunction with any other offers (i.e. LALG and Children's 20% Saturday discount). 

Q: Is your shop accessible? 

A: All of the downstairs is browsable with a wheelchair. however our upstairs secondhand areas are only reachable by stairs. 

Q: Do you buy books? 

A: Yes, selectively. Due to the quantities we see it is always best to call ahead in advance, to avoid disappointment when arriving at the shop. If you're looking to sell some books please email either jack@davids-bookshops.co.uk or call 01462 684631. 

Q: How do I get upstairs?

A: The doorway surrounded by books, to the left of the till! 

Q: When am I charged for pre-orders on this website? 

A: You are charged the same day that you place the order.
